Direct-to-Fabric printing is an emerging market in which Splash of Color is very much involved. There is a very strong movement underway toward the use of printed polyester fabrics for soft signage, trade show exhibits and many other commercial & industrial applications. Sublimation printing on fabric can lead you into new markets & profit opportunities never before considered. These environmentally friendly fabrics are lightweight, easy to transport and, unlike PVC banners, can be recycled. Your imagination is the only limitation on the markets you can address with a HeatWave printer. Print elegant signs and banners, create tensioned fabric structures for exhibit builders, print gaming table tops for casinos, custom apparel, custom pop-up canopies, flags, pennants, museum murals and more.
Until recently, the sublimation process required that you print the image on transfer paper then remove the paper and process the paper and fabric through a separate heat press to sublimate the fabric. The HeatWave provides you with a much more efficient production workflow. In a single roll-to-roll operation you can print directly on the fabric, the fabric then passes over a rotating temperature controlled heated calender.
